Hello, World!

We are a family of five. Sunlight is an imagination-beaming 4-year old boy. Ballerina girl is a fascinating, creative, talented, skillful, imaginative 6-year old delight. Mom is a kid at heart, experimenter and proudest parent on Earth. Grandma is always loving, way too busy and tired. Grandpa is a hopeless optimist, a visionary, a man beyond his time.

This blog will follow us on our homeschooling journey.

I, the mom, believe in creativity: providing the tools, the demonstration and stepping back. Let the exploration and the imagination lead them forward to new unexplored venues. Our homeschooling will consist of two components: 1) demonstration or a lesson and 2) exploration. The goal is to learn by following the children's natural curiosity. With two very different children, there will be a lot of 'cross-training' and 'cross-appreciation' in our future. Homeschooling is not for the children alone. I am right there first in line, eager to learn along with them.
